Welcome Dance Matrix

Go Figure congratulates Dance Matrix who recently purchased the iGo Dance Software for their studio in Queen Creek, Arizona. We know that they will enjoy all of the time that is freed up by using the software to manage recurring billing, product sales at the studio, the employee’s time sheets and so much more.

iGo Dance Software Makes so Many Things Easier for Dance Schools

From the day I set foot in my daughter’s dance school last September I have been counting the ways their lives would be so much easier if they used the iGo Dance Software. She attends an established school offering multiple types of dance classes to several hundred students. Here are just some of the things in the software I can identify off the top of my head that would reduce the amount of time they spend managing the business so they could spend more time focusing on students and growing the school.

Keytag sign-in – With a scannable keytag for each student, parents or students can just hold their keytag up to the scanner upon arriving. The teacher will then know who is in class and what time each student arrived. Right now, the owner or another manager at my daughter’s school pops into every class to manually take attendance. I can’t imagine how much time she spends taking attendance for several classes every day of the week. The software would eliminate the need for this!

Class scheduling and registration – By the end of the school year they were taking registration for next year’s classes. You had to fill out a form and submit a check for the registration fee. This could be so much easier for the school and the parents if the classes were listed online with the scheduling system integrated with the iGo Figure Software. Parents could see when the classes are available and submit the registration fees online. The school can even set limits for each class and start a waiting list. There’d be no more need to keep track of this manually.

Class Management – They could easily add each class offered into the software so that it would be easy to associate each student with the class(es) she’s taking and how much she owes for each. They could even indicate discounts for families with multiple children in the school so that payment processing will run smoothly.

Payment Processing – I can’t tell you how many times I forgot to bring my checkbook on the day that tuition was due each month. Plus I had to submit the check with a payment coupon. If they used the iGo Figure Software, I could give them my checking account number and/or my credit card number to automatically charge me every month. They wouldn’t have to keep track of so many late fees and they can even run my card or charge my account for other things due periodically throughout the year for recital fees, costumes, etc.

Plus the school owner wouldn’t have to make so many trips to the bank with our checks. She could do more of it electronically right from the school’s office.

POS and Inventory Management – I didn’t have to buy too many things while I was at the school last year. However, I saw how they sold things like shoes, t-shirts, ribbons to sew onto ballet shoes for recitals, water and more. They just kept track of all these sales manually. And half the time they had no idea what was on hand. If they entered all of the stock into the software, they would know how much of each item they had and they could accept my credit card or checking account on file for payment. I wouldn’t need to remember to bring cash or the checkbook.

Costume Management – They held an absolutely huge production for the annual recital. It was amazing and they did a good job pulling it off. But again, I see ways they could have used software to make their lives so much easier. For instance, they measured each student for a custom costume. They just tracked this on a clipboard. If they had put this into the software using the customizable attributes feature, the information could be stored in their record along with payment(s) for the costumes for each costume.

I know dance school owners benefit so much from having the iGo Dance Software. And I haven’t even talked about the reporting area, employee time sheets and the other features that make iGo Dance Software so great for dance schools. I plan to talk to my daughter’s school director in the next week or so (now that the craziness of recital season is over) to show her all the ways she can save time and money. There are fewer things to worry about when everything is managed through the software. And with Go Figure’s free training, the owner and staff can be trained before they even have to start using it with the students. Everyone can have a 30-day free trial… and this is the perfect time of year to do it. Get the software all set up before the new school year starts!
